Find out how to become a Commercial Pilot below
At Florida Aviation Academy, we make your dream of becoming a Commercial Pilot come true. We offer comprehensive ab initio flight training programs where students start with zero hours of flight time and earn all the required licenses and ratings above in as little as 6 months. Most people will receive their Commercial Pilot license at around 250 hours of total flight time, which means they are allowed to fly for compensation or hire. To work for an airline you must receive your ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) rating. In order to be eligible for this rating you must have at least 1500 hours. One of the best ways for a pilot to build their flight time is through Instructing others. Once you become a Flight Instructor you will be able to work towards those total hours you need in order to be hired by an airline. Some of the best pilots that airlines like to hire are those who instructed in order to build their time to 1500 hours. Being a Flight Instructor is the best way to build vast amounts of aviation experience. At Florida Aviation Academy it is our goal to instruct our students all the way through their Flight Instructor ratings in order for them to start building their hours, working their way towards becoming a Professional Pilot and making their dream a reality.
