PAYMENT POLICY
Payment must be made in advance per payment arrangements stated in enrollment agreement. Students are expected to keep a positive balance on account in order to continue flight training. In addition to the estimate of direct training cost, the amount due shall include an allowance to cover the expected cost of required FAA examinations and program supplies plus $1000.00 as a reserve on account. The $1000.00 reserve on account is for the purpose of insuring that the funds are available for any unrecorded cost that may become apparent during final accounting and auditing of the training logs upon completion of training. The reserve on account will be refunded when an account is finalized, per the enrollment agreement. All instruction is offered at hourly (clock hour) training rates. Training rates are published by Florida Aviation Academy on a separate schedule and incorporated into this agreement. Should additional instruction, for whatever reason, become necessary to meet pilot certification standards, it will be the responsibility of the student, parent, or guardian of guarantor to maintain a paid-in-advance status for the cost incident to additional instruction.
METHOD OF PAYMENT:
Payment may be bank wire transfer, cash, traveler’s check, major credit card (with prior approval) or a domestic bank check made payable to Florida Aviation Academy. The wire transfer should identify the student by name. Personal checks from domestic banks, which may take up to ten working days to clear, must clear the bank prior to being accepted as payment. To avoid any delays in the commencement of training, payments should be made by wire transfer, cashier's or certified check.
REFUND POLICY:
A student may cancel without penalty or obligation within three business days of signing the enrollment agreement. Students who have not visited the school prior to enrollment may also cancel without obligation within three business days following a regularly scheduled orientation visit. A student may also cancel if under written recommendation from a doctor he cannot physically receive training. If a student cancels after three days but before starting the program, all monies paid will be refunded per the enrollment agreement. If a student cancels or withdraws for any reason after beginning the program, FAA will refund payment and only charge for instruction received per the enrollment agreement.
ADMISSION:
After the school accepts application, a confirmation letter will be mailed. This will state the hours of instruction anticipated to complete the initial training program in the curriculum chosen and other important rights and obligations. Our estimate of training will be based upon the application for admission, so please give complete and accurate information. You will be asked to read and sign the confirmation letter and return it to the school with a tuition deposit.
NON-US CITIZENS:
A non-US citizen must submit proof of financial ability, English language proficiency and having completed twelve years academic education (high school) with the application for admission. Upon acceptance of the application, a pro forma invoice and a letter of acceptance will be mailed.
