Flight instructing as a profession is a very valuable experience. It gives tremendous advantages to the flight instructors during job interviews with the airlines. Both flying skill and theoretical knowledge of a flight instructor far exceeds that of non-instructor candidates for the job interview. In the last seven years 100% of our flight instructors have been hired by regionals once they have reached approximately 1000 to 1200 hours of total flight time, on the very first interview.
