New FAA Part 107 Rules for Small Drones (UAS)

The FAA recently released the new Part 107 rules for small drones (UAS).  Here are some of the things you need to know:

Items you will need to take with you when you take the knowledge test (on or after August 29th, 2016)

All applicants must have a valid and current form of identification that includes their photo, date of birth, signature, and physical residential address.  Acceptable forms:

US Citizens and Resident Aliens

  • Drivers license or permit issued by a US state or territory
  • US Government identification card
  • US Military identification card
  • Passport
  • Alien residency card

Non – US Citizens

  • Passport

AND

  • Drivers license or permit issued by a US state or territory

OR

  • Identification card issued by any government entity
